What we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and display name. When you check in we store your username, avatar, and the text you post. Location data is used only on your device to show distances — we do not store your GPS coordinates. Photos you attach to check-ins are stored in our database.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. We do not share your information with third parties except as required to operate the service (Firebase/Google for authentication and database hosting).

Check-ins and ratings

Check-ins and ratings are public within the app and visible to other users. Your display name and avatar appear alongside your posts. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.

Age requirement

TapIn is intended for users 21 and older. By creating an account you confirm you are of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction.
